MANILA, Philippines – It was a big night for Kim Chiu, who took home several trophies at the 2014 Yahoo Celebrity Awards held Friday, July 18. 

Kim won Actress of the Year and Celebrity of the Year, while her movie Bride for Rent was Move of the Year. Her soap Ikaw Lamang also won Teleserye of the Year, while KimXi was Fan Club of the Year. 

Hosted by Maxene Magalona and Robi Domingo, this year’s theme was  Powered by You. On the purple carpet, screams were heard as Ikaw Lamang star Coco Martin greeted fans. Kim Chiu and Xian Lim also got loud cheers.

TV host Kris Aquino dropped by the event to receive her award for Female Host of the Year, while It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro made an appearance to receive his award for Male Host of the Year. Vice Ganda also stole the show in an outfit featuring oversized stuff chain links, with hair styled in a bright bluish green ‘do. 

The awards also saw numbers from Wolfgang and Parokya ni Edgar. Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and son Gab also performed before the audience. The Voice mentors Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo also rocked the Arena – plus, they received their awards for Male and Female Performer of the Year.
