Adam Levine marries Behati Prinsloo

MANILA, Philippines – Maroon 5 fans, Adam Levine is officially off the market. 

The singer married his girlfriend, Namibian model Behati Prinsloo at the Flora Farms in Los Cabos, Mexico, on Saturday, July 19, according to US Weekly.

The website reported that Prinsloo wore a custom-made Marchesa dress, and that the wedding was attended by around 300 guests which include models Erin Heatherton, Candice Swanepoel, and Jonah Hill. 

In lieu of wedding gifts, the couple asked for donations to charity.

Guitarist James Valentine and Stevie Nicks were also present at the event, to perform at the couple’s wedding. However, Blake Shelton, Levine’s closest friend from the show The Voice was not able to make it due to a tour in Chicago.

Levine posted a short message on his Facebook account, likely about the big life event. 

“Everyone is very excited about this marriage. They are a wonderful couple,” a source told E! News.

The website said that the couple plan to celebrate their honeymoon in South Africa, but will have brunch with their guests before leaving.

Levine and Prinsloo started dating in June 2012, a month after Adam split up with model  Anne Vyalitsyna. The couple briefly split up in March 2013 but later reconciled. In July 2013, after getting back together, Levine proposed to the Namibian model .

In an interview with ABC News, Levine’s bandmate James Valentine said that he was surprised that his friend was not nervous about saying goodbye to his bachelorhood.

“I think he’s really excited,” Valentine said “I expected him to be more nervous. They’re very amped up. They’re very happy. It’s going to be really fun.”

In March of this year, Levine celebrated with a group of his friends at the Casino Resort in Las Vegas for his Bachelor party. He told People after that he “had enough bachelor parties,” and is ready to settle down.

“I definitely feel like I’m sitting in the chair I’m supposed to be sitting in right now,” he said. “It all feels very natural.”.– Rappler.com
