How you can see ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ stars, director in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – The Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno film, the first of a 2-part sequel to the 2012 Rurouni Kenshin movie, will show on August 20. 

But on August 6, the film will have its grand Asian premiere at SM Megamall – and the event will be graced by none other than the stars: Takeru Satoh (who plays Kenshin), Emi Takei (Kaoru), Munetaka Aoki (Sanosuke) as well the film’s director, Keishi Otomo. 

This is an invitational red carpet premiere, however. And on August 7, there will be a press conference at the Glorietta Activity Center. 

Here’s how you can see the stars:

1. Via Warner Bros Philippines (red carpet premiere)

Warner Bros Philippines has a promo with a deadline on 6pm, August 3. Winners will be announced Monday, August 4. This involves sending one a variety of options to prove that the person joining is Kenshin’s #1 fan. See the complete mechanics in the poster below or click here to visit their Facebook.

• Short essay of why you’re Kenshin’s #1, 
• Phot of your Rurouni Kenshin Original fan art, You in your own Kenshin costume, Kenshin Himura Figure Collection, Manga collection,

• Each winner will be given a pair of exclusive tickets to the Asian premiere

2. Via SM Cinemas (red carpet premiere)

SM Cinemas has been rolling out a ticket giveaway for fans via their Facebook page. As of August 3, they’ve rolled out the third batch, where there will be 20 winners – all you have to do is answer the question posted on their timeline.

The winners of this round will be announced on August 4. 

3. Via Ayala Malls Cinemas (Press Conference) 

Apart from the red carpet premiere, there’s going to be a press conference with the cast and director in attendance – and Ayala Malls Cinemas has announced via Facebook that they will be awarding fans passes, too.
