Chiz-Heart wedding date confirmed

MANILA, Philippines  – Senator Chiz Escudero confirmed that he and actress Heart Evangelista are scheduled to tie the knot on Februay 15, 2015 at Balesin Island Club.

The couple got engaged last August 23 in Sorsogon.

According to a report from the Inquirer, Chiz also clarified the issue that he and Heart were the reason for the “bumping off” of TV host Cesca Litton and fiancé Tyke Kalaw’s wedding celebrations, also scheduled for next year at the island.

Netizens were recently abuzz when a Facebook post saying that another couple’s wedding schedule was bumped off in order to make room for Chiz and Heart’s preferred dates went viral.  

“I honestly don’t know why they are dragging us into this… We just decided, late yesterday afternoon, on the date of our wedding—it’s February 15,” he said, according to the report. 

Chiz also said that he and Heart should not be dragged into the issue. 

“Whatever problem they may have with Balesin, and vice versa, is a matter that is solely between and among them.”

On Tuesday, Sept 2, in a statement sent to Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Cesca said that she and Tyke, who got engaged last April, went to the island last May to book the wedding for February 14.

Cesca said they asked the management twice if the February 14 date was booked during their visits, and the management told them that the date was still available.

However, Cesca said that she got a call from their wedding coordinator last Saturday and was informed that Heart and Chiz have now been scheduled for February 14.

Meanwhile, Balesin Island Club owner  Roberto “Bobby” Onpin also released a statement on the issue, saying that  there was no bump-off and that the date was available when the reservation was made for Chiz and Heart. – Rappler.com
