20 photos: David Blaine stuns PH audience in ‘Real or Magic’ show

MANILA, Philippines – His show promised to have audiences questioning whether his tricks were ‘Real or Magic,’ and it delivered in every way. 

On September 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, artist and magician David Blaine had audiences completely entranced when he performed several tricks that had them in complete disbelief. Read a full recap of the show here. 

Well known for shocking celebrities like Katy Perry and Jamie Foxx with his tricks, as well as regular people on the street, David is also known for pushing the boundaries of human endurance.

For his grand finale, David managed to stay completely submerged underwater for 10 minutes, 29 seconds, stunning the crowd.  

In another trick, he put out a fire he made after drinking a few bottles of water. 

In another segment, David gets an ice pick stuck in his hand…and when it’s pulled out, there’s no blood.

David arrived in Manila on September 10, doing a series of media interviews while taking time to stop by to perform for Filipinos living in a depressed community in Quezon City. 

After his show, he took to Twitter to post a brief message of thanks. Also on David’s itinerary? A trip to General Santos to visit boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.
