MANILA, Philippines – Actor Geoff Eigenmann was the picture of confidence when he walked the runway to cheering fans at the Cosmo 69 Bachelors Bash at the World Trade Center, Wednesday night, September 24. (READ: Photos: Paulo Avelino, James Reid, Joseph Marco, and centerfolds at Cosmo bash)

“It’s a different kind of experience so I’m glad that I was able to do it and masaya ako sa nakita kong reaction ng tao (I was happy with the reaction I saw from the audience),” he told reporters after the show. (READ: Exploring ‘Tower 69’: 12 Cosmo hunks to watch for)

Geoff said it was the first time he came down the runway in just underwear, despite doing a shoot for the magazine years ago. He credits his workouts for his fit body.

“Wala namang inspirasyon (There is no inspiration), just to better yourself physically. “All I can say is singlehood must be good and, yeah, this is the result,” 

Geoff broke up with long-time girflriend Carla Abellana last April. 

“I’m about 30 pounds 40 pounds [in terms of weight loss]. I haven’t really checked, but yeah I have just been working on myself, and I don’t really care what I weigh for as long as I take good care of myself.”

“Its a new image for me. I guess its different how I was before and I’m hoping they like me now more than before.”

Geoff was previously given a reminder to get fit by GMA 7 in 2013. His mother, actress Gina Alajar, confirmed the report in an interview with Pep in June 2013.

Months after the letter, Geoff emerged with a leaner body as the leading man to Kylie Padilla in the fantasy-drama Adarna. 

Back at the Cosmo event, Geoff said that he was also happy that his family, particularly brother Ryan and cousins Gabby and Andi Eigenmann, were there to support him.

Asked how the family is coping following the death of Geoff’s uncle Mark Gil last September 1, Geoff said they are doing better, but still grieving.

“Sad pa rin (still) but we’re doing better. Nandiyan naman kaming lahat (We’re all there), we’re behind each other. Hindi namin pinababayaan ang isa’t isa  (We are not neglecting each other) so yeah we’re still coping, but doing better.”  – Rappler.com
