MANILA, Philippines – Young stars Alwyn Uytingco and Jennica Garcia have confirmed that they have been married since February of this year.

“Last February 12, we got married secretly,” Alwyn, 26, said during the press conference for TV 5’s new set of episodes of Wattpad Presents.

“So, sorry kung may mga nagtatanong, hindi namin alam kung ano ang sasabihin namin. Kasi lagi kaming tinatanong, kailan kami magpapakasal, ‘tapos hindi ko lang masabi na, ‘A, actually kasal na kami at naghahanap lang kami ng right time to tell everyone.’ 

“And ayun, nangyari sa… with the help of our Christian family, sa Victory Greenhills, San Juan,” the TV 5 star said.

(So sorry if there were people asking, we don’t know what to say. Because they always ask us when we will get married and I could not say ‘Um, actually we are married, and we were looking for the time to tell everyone. And it happened…with the help of our Christian family, at Victory Greenhills, San Juan.)

Alwyn said that their closest friends and family were present during the small ceremony. He also thanked the management of TV 5 for their understanding.

“Thank you po, despite the fact na napakabiglaan nitong announcement namin, for supporting us and understanding. Thank you for this opportunity talaga, kasi para sa akin, sobrang memorable nito dahil sa guesting namin sa Wattpad.”

Jennica, 25, daughter of actress Jean Garcia, also thanked everyone for the support. 

“So, thankful talaga ako kay Lord kasi gumawa talaga siya ng paraan din.  (I am so thankful to Lord because he was the one who paved the way for it.)

“And ako talaga, (And me) I really want to share, kasi it’s a good news and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

The newlyweds are set to appear for the first time in the episode of Wattpad Presents: DyepNi, which will air from October 20-24. –Rappler.com
