Friends throw Marian Rivera third bridal shower

MANILA, Philippines – Talents from rival networks got together last Sunday, October 19, for GMA 7 actress Marian Rivera’s third bridal shower.

On her Instagram account, Marian posted a photo of the group which include ABS-CBN stars Ai-Ai deals Alas, Angelica Panganiban, and John “Sweet” Lapus. Those present from GMA 7 were Sarah Lahbati, Rochelle Pangilinan, Katrina Halili, and Sheena Halili, among others.

The bridal shower was organized by Marian’s good friend Roxanne Barcelo, who will serve as her maid of honor, and wedding coordinator Teena Barretto.

“Maraming salamat charlie @roxannebarcelo at @teenabarretto sa pagiging punong abala para lang mapaligaya ako sa araw na ito… At sa lahat ng kaibigan kong dumating salamat nakakataba ng puso kung paano ninyo ako pinapahalagahan at minamahal lalo na yung mga sinulat nyo sa papel kung sino ako sa buhay ninyo haaaaay di matatawan ang mga kaibigan tulad nyo salamat sa pagiging tapat at sa pag mamahal hanggang sa dulo mahal ko kayo! #3rdBridalShowerNiYan #Happiness,” the caption read, with Marian tagging her friends.

According to a report from GMA Network, the theme of the bridal shower was Hello Kitty. 

Marian expressed her happiness that many of her friends were able to come.

“Kanina habang dumadating ‘tong mga bisita ko, kinikilig ako kasi napagsama-sama sila dito sa bridal shower ko na ang tagal ko na rin hindi nakikita. Mayroon ako diyan ‘yung friend ko 5 years kong hindi nakita pero nandito,”  she said.

(While my guests were arriving, I was thrilled because they were all together here in my bridal shower and I had not seen them for a long time. There was one friend whom I hadn’t seen in 5 years, who was here.)

Marian had her first bridal shower last September in Hong Kong followed by a second bridal shower in Alabang on September 27.

The actress and fiancé Dingdong Dantes are set to wed on December 30.  The couple got engaged last August, when Dingdong proposed during Marian’s show. – Rappler.com
