After wedding, baby plans for Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño

MANILA, Philippines – After their wedding in the US last December 8, Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño are now considering the steps to growing their family. Liza already has a young daughter from a previous marriage.

In an interview on Startalk Saturday, December 20, the couple said that they are planning to have a baby through the process of In Vitro Fertilization or IVF.

“Maraming hindi nakakaalam, ang In Vitro Fertilization isa siyang paraan na ang mangyayari is kukuha ng egg cell sa akin. And then kungyari may kinuha kinuha kaming sperm donor fefertilize iyon. Pag may nabuo na embryo, ilalagay kay Liza,” Aiza said.

(Many do not know, in vitro fertilization is a process where in they get an egg cell from me. And then for example, if we get a sperm donor, they will fertilize it. If they are able to make an embryo, they will transfer it to Liza.)

Liza meanwhile said that many of their friends have offered to be a donor, but due to complications and legalities, they declined.

The couple also said that they are planning to have a big celebration for their closest family and friends who were unable to attend the wedding. (IN PHOTOS: Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño’s beautiful wedding)

Ask about the use of Aiza’s surname, Liza said: “Legally, I can use Aiza’s surname kasi yung same sex couples are recognized in the same way that heterosexual couples are recognized in the US,” she said. However, she will not be able to use Aiza’s family name in Philippine documents.

As for their message to each other, the two said they are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.  

“Kapag sa mga panahon na naiinis ka parati, lalo kitang mamahalin. Kapag sa mga panahon na makalat ka, huwag ka mag-alala kasi hindi ko iyon babaguhin… Kung baga hindi kita babaguhin kasi mahal na mahal kita kung sino ka at kung ano ka. At masayang masaya ako na nandito ako dahil gustong-gusto kita nakikitang lumilipad at kapag lumilipad ka, mas mataas ang lipad ko,”Aiza said.

(In those moments you are annoyed , I will love you more. If you are all over the place, don’t worry, I will not change that…In other words, I will not change anything about you because I love you for who you are and what you are. And I am very happy that I’m here because I like seeing you fly, and when you fly, I fly higher.)  

“I never met anybody who embraced my flaws so beautifully as you, in the same way you embraced the beautiful things about me. And sobra akong nagpapasalamat  ako na ikaw young binigay sa akin. (And I am so thankful that it was you who was given to me.) And I know its us… I feel it in my body and I’m so happy that we can finally say that we’re together forever,” Liza said. – Rappler.com
