Oscars 2015: Meet 'Glom Gazingo,' or John Travolta, presented by Idina Menzel

MANILA, Philippines – Nobody can forget John Travolta’s now famous Adele Dazeem moment at the 2014 Oscars, where he famously flubbed Idina Menzel’s name while introducing her performance. Well, John Travolta and Idina Menzel have totally put that behind them – they made fun of that whole incident in a hilarious bit at the 2015 Oscars.

It all started when Neil Patrick Harris remarked on Benedict Cumberbatch’s name, saying:

“Benedict Cumberbatch: not only is it the most awesome name in show business, it’s the sound you get when you ask John Travolta to pronounce Ben Affleck’.”

“I deserved that,” said a sheepish John later said, after being introduced jokingly by Idina as “Glom Gazingo.”

Later, as they were presenting the award for Best Original Song, he told Idina to do the honors.

“The Oscar goes to – you do it,” he said.

Clearly things are totally fine between the two! The lighthearted moment, however, soon gave way to a more serious tone, as John Legend and Common won the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Glory,” written for the movie Selma. Their rousing rendition of “Glory” earlier had many audience members, including Chris Pine and star David Oyelowo, in tears. – Rappler.com
