Actor Josh Gad cast in live action ‘Beauty and the Beast’

MANILA, Philippines – It looks like Josh Gad is temporarily trading in snow and flurries, as he joins the cast of live-action movie adaptation of Beauty and the Beast!

Josh will play loyal but dim-witted sidekick Le Fou, who constantly is at the beck and call of his master, the narcissistic hunter Gaston, who will be played by Luke Evans.

He also announced his new role on his Twitter by imitating his animated counterpart’s pose here:

Currently, Beauty and the Beast is top-billed by Harry Potter’s Emma Watson as Belle and Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens as the Beast. Before Josh, Luke Evans was also announced as cast member, filling in the shoes of hunter Gaston.

This casting news for Josh on Beauty and the Beast followed the most recent announcement of Frozen 2, where he will reprise his role as lovable snowman Olaf.
