MANILA, Philippines – Filmmaker Paul Soriano recently gave updates on his and fiancee Toni Gonzaga’s wedding plans.

According to Paul, he and Toni have yet to sit down and discuss all the wedding arrangements completely, although he said that Toni has already picked a dress. 

“I know she chose a dress already. I’m very behind. I haven’t even picked a suit yet. I’m going to work on that after Kid Kulafu comes out. I can start focusing on the details. But for me, my attitude for the wedding is I’ll just follow. Whatever Toni wants, I will do my best to give it to her,” Paul said during an interview with reporters at the press conference for his film Kid Kulafu.

Paul said that he is looking forward to his honeymoon as well since it will be the first time and and Toni will travel together solo. When asked where he and Toni are planning to go, this was his answer: “Anywhere outside the Philippines.”

“We haven’t had that opportunity. We are both well-traveled. Ang importante magkasama kami. (What is important is that we are together.) It’s going to be our first time to do a solo trip, so far away from Mommy Pinty (Gonzaga) so they can’t follow,” he said in jest.  

The couple hasn’t officially announced their wedding date yet, but there is speculation that it might be this June, because it marks a special milestone for the couple. 

“June 12 is gonna be our 8th year. Independence day is our anniversary,” Paul said. 

“That’s our anniversary… so I guess people speculate,” he told the Inquirer. But Paul did not confirm if he and Toni will indeed marry on June 12. 

Last February, Toni confirmed that she and Paul got engaged a day after her birthday.
