Son of Monaco’s Princess Caroline and wife welcome baby girl
This is Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo's second child

MONACO, Monaco – The Mediterranean principality of Monaco announced Tuesday, April 14 that Andrea Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline, and his South American wife Tatiana Santo Domingo had welcomed a baby girl, their second child.

A statement from the palace said the baby, whose name has yet to be divulged, was born on Sunday, April 12 and that “both the mother and the child are doing well.”

Caroline is the eldest child of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, the former Hollywood star Grace Kelly, whose fairytale 1956 wedding catapulted Monaco from a sleepy Riviera town to a watering hole for the world’s rich and famous.

Andrea, 30, is Caroline’s son from her second marriage to Stefano Casiraghi, an Italian businessman killed in a speed-boat accident in 1990.

Santo Domingo, meanwhile, is the granddaughter of Colombian billionaire Julio Santo Domingo, who died in 2011.

Both are already parents to a little boy, Sacha, who was born in 2013.

Caroline’s brother Albert is the ruler of the tiny principality, and he and his wife Charlene welcomed twin babies, Gabriella and Jacques, in December to much fanfare.

Despite being born two minutes after his sister, Monaco’s succession laws mean Jacques is next in line to head the 700-year-old House of Grimaldi. – Rappler.com
