MANILA, Philippines – Actor Derek Ramsay renewed his contract with TV5 Tuesday, April 28.

Derek was with President and CEO Noel C. Lorenzana and Wilma Galvante during the signing.

In an interview with reporters at the press conference, he said that aside from continuing his current programs Mac & Chiz and Extreme Series: Kaya Mo Ba ‘To?, he will also be doing a noontime show and a sitcom, and will focus on more movies, including a new project with Kris Aquino and Eugene Domingo.

According to Lorenzana, they did not hesitate to renew Derek, and considered him to be the ambassador of the network. Lorenzana also said that he is open to the idea of a digital series with Derek.  

Derek has been with TV5 since 2012. He appeared in Kidlat, and a number of dramas. He also hosted The Amazing Race Philippines Season 1 and 2. He is currently hosting Extreme Series and doing the comedy show Mac and Chiz with Empoy. – Rappler.com
