KC Concepcion on relationship with Sharon Cuneta: We’re not perfect

MANILA, Philippines – Actress KC Concepcion admitted that she and her mom megastar Sharon Cuneta did go through a bit of a bump in their relationship, but would prefer not to talk about it. 

In a recent interview with Pep at the exhibit she and photographer Mark Nicdao held for the benefit of the victims of the Nepal earthquake, KC said that like any relationship, she and her mom have their disagreements. 

“You know, we’re mother and daughter… I will love my mom, my mom is my mom forever, so I will love her forever,” KC said. 

“As any mother and daughter, we have… you know, we’re not perfect.

“Pero I still na… to protect her, ayokong magsalita at palakihin yung isyu (I do not want to talk about it and make it a big issue),” she said.

KC said that she would rather keep her family affairs private. 

In a Facebook post dated May 30, Sharon said she will refrain from making any comments about KC after a follower asked her thoughts about one of KC’s sexier poses seen in some photos. Her responses led many of her fans to wonder if Sharon and KC were not on the best terms.

“I love all my children and though I appreciate all of your comments and your love and concern for me and KC, this is the last I will post about her or us, unless it is a good and positive one or something that will require clearing up.
