IN PHOTOS: DreamPlay, Dreamworks-themed activity center at City of Dreams Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Adding to the list of entertainment and lifestyle options at the City of Dreams Manila is Dreamplay, a Dreamworks-themed play center that’s quite built quite larger than life. (Overview: What you’ll see at the City of Dreams Manila) 

There are attractions that let kids go wall-climbing, do kung fu with Po from Kung Fu Panda, or go on a challenging ropes course, plus these feature the studio’s biggest hits: How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek, and Madagascar, alongside Kung Fu Panda. For the Kung Fu Panda attractions, there’s the Thread of Enlightenment, a ropes course (there’s a height requirement of 140 cm):

There’s the Wall of Destiny, a set of climbing challenges, just like Po did when he was training to be the Dragon Warrior:

In How To Fly Your Dragon (100 cm height requirement), kids get to explore an intricately designed dragon display where, according to the release, they’ll need to “search Hiccup’s collection of hand-crafted dragon parts to create their own unique dragon.” After which, they’ll be able to “climb to the top of Berk and fly it.”

The Dinotrux (100 cm heigh requirement) exhibit is a fun, interactive attraction where interested visitors can build their own “Reptool.”

 

The Shrek-themed exhibits are fun, too – especially when you can get baking lessons from Gingy, the cute Gingerbread Man from the movie. 

Then, tour Shrek’s house in he Swamp Stomp.

There’s also a DreamTales Library, a quiet room where visitors can retire for a moment of peace, of the DreamStudio, where visitors can learn about what it takes to make an animated film. 

 

There’s also a 4-D Dream Theater that visitors can enjoy.

Where: DreamPlay is located at the Upper Ground Floor of the City of Dreams Manila, near The Shops at the Boulevard. 

Hours: 10am to 10pm 

Weekend/Holiday Rates: 4 hours – children, P880, adults, P400. Two hours – children, P600, adults, P330. Hourly extensions: P300 children, P150 adults. Day rate: 1500, children, P680 adults. Toddlers two to 4 years old: P100, flat rate. 

Weekday Rates: 4 hours – P680, children, P300 adults. Two hours – P480 children, P260 adults. Hourly extension: P250 children, P120 adults. Day rates: P1200 children, P350 adults. Toddlers two to 4 years old: P50, flat rate. 

NOTE: According to the press release, “unaccompanied adults will not be allowed entry.”
