Sunshine Cruz to pursue child abuse case vs Cesar Montano
Sunshine submits new evidence before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office against her estranged husband

MANILA, Philippines – Looks like the legal battle between Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano is far from over.

According to a report from Pep, Sunshine submitted new evidence against her estranged husband on Tuesday, June 16, regarding the child abuse case she filed against him in February. She accused Cesar of performing lewd acts in front their 3 daughters.

“Ongoing pa rin ang cases (The cases are ongoing). We just presented some documents earlier po kay (to) Fiscal [Ferdinand] Baylon,” Sunshine said.

Pep also reported that Cesar also submitted documents regarding the case.

According to a previous report, Sunshine said she filed the child abuse case to protect her daughters.

Meanwhile, Sunshine’s lawyer, Bonifacio Alentajan, declined to comment about the abuse charges due to a gag order.

In March, Cesar was charged with physical abuse before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court after the assistant city prosecutor found merit in the complaint filed by Sunshine.

In the said complaint, Sunshine accused Cesar of hurting her on 3 separate occasions – July 2009, January 2013, and June 2013. (Cesar on marital rape: ‘Preposterous’)

The couple separated in 2013 after Sunshine claimed Cesar was having an affair with Krista Miller. Sunshine has since filed an annulment case against Cesar, which is pending in court. – Rappler.com
