Isabelle Daza apologized over Siquijor hashtag – vice governor

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Isabelle Daza has apologized for the use of the hashtag #SiquiWhores on social media.

On Instagram, singer and Siquijor Vice Governor Dingdong Avanzado said that Isabelle clarified the matter with him and apologized for the issue.

“Actress Isabelle Daza has already explained that the hashtag #SiquiWhores was merely ‘a joke’ and is a ‘term of endearment’ between her and her cousins. Likewise, she apologized to the people of Siquijor who may have been offended by such a term,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I encourage the netizens and the people of Siquijor to accept her apology, move on, and focus our time and efforts on more important concerns that our nation faces today,” Dingdong wrote.

Isabelle got some strong reactions online after she posted the photo below using the hashtag, with many calling the move insensitive and inappropriate.
