WATCH: Lea Salonga ‘mini-me’ stuns in ‘Voice Kids PH’ audition
Lea Salonga recognizes the little girl who previously sang as her 'mini-me' on 'Showtime'

MANILA, Philippines – We’re early in the second season of The Voice Kids Philippines and there are already quite a number of standout auditions in the show. One little lady stood out in the June 20 episode when she had all 3 judges, particularly Lea Salonga, campaigning for her to join their team.

Telesa “Esang” De Torres, 8, stunned with her crisp, clear voice as she sang “Home” from The Wiz. All 3 judges turned their chairs for her, with coach Lea recognizing her as the young singer who appeared on It’s Showtime‘s “mini-me” segment as Lea.

Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo tried to win Esang over to their teams, with Sarah even busting out her The Voice trophy (Sarah coached The Voice PH 2 winner Jason Dy and The Voice Kids season 1 winner Lyca Gairanod and runner-up Darren Espanto). Lea even told Esang a story about picking the coach who would help her win.

Ultimately, Esang chose Lea as her coach.
