MANILA, Philippines - Young Filipino fashion designers unleashed their imagination in a whimsical fashion show that celebrated our favorite Christmas stories and characters in Metrowear Fantasy last November 25 at the Edsa Shangri-La Manila.
Martin Bautista, Joel Escober, John Herrera and Mak Tumang brought iconic holiday imagery to life with a 10-piece collection each. Interpretations of The Nutcracker, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Snow Queen and 12 Days of Christmas were sent down the runway.
Each young designer was mentored by a top senior designer: Rajo Laurel (for Martin Bautista), Noel Crisostomo (for Joel Escober), Cary Santiago (for John Herrera) and Frederick Peralta (for Mak Tumang).
