MANILA, Philippines - Viva, Sto. Niño! Hala Bira, Kalibo!

The Ati-Atihan Festival is the oldest feast in honor of the Santo Niño. For more information on the history and highlights of the Ati-Atihan festival, read #PHTravel: Sinulog, Ati-Atihan, and Dinagyang.

The Ati-Atihan 2013 festival was a week-long celebration, with daily parades of Santo Niño images and street dancing. It took place at the same time as the Sinulog festival in Cebu; the week's culmination also took place on January 20, Sunday.

During Ati-Atihan, Kalibonons welcome fellow Aklanons and tourists in one colorful party. Like the Sinulog, this festival has been compared with the New Orleans Mardi Gras.

Here are our photos. Enjoy the beautiful colors!
