Samsung's new ad tries to capitalize on its ability to mix work and play

MANILA, Philippines – When it comes to advertising, Samsung has a penchant for quirky videos that hit the right notes to either impress or annoy its competition.

A recent ad found by Techcrunch is primed to do the same as it seems to hit on the attitudes paid towards Research in Motion and Apple machines.

In Samsung’s new advertisement, the introduction of a “bring your own phone” policy to a game development studio shows a contrast between the studio employees who use Samsung phones to work and play, and their clients who compartmentalize by having a work phone and a leisure phone.

The end result that they try to show is that Samsung devices provide the best of both worlds with their Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) program, without any of the drawbacks. Whether that ends up shining through in their ad will depend on your mindset, however.

At the very least, you can’t go wrong with an imaginary game like Unicorn Apocalypse. – Rappler.com
