MANILA, Philippines – News that Binibining Pilipinas candidate Theresa Fenger is out of the pageant has been circulating among beauty pageant insiders and bloggers.

According to Getitfromboy.net, an allegedly racy photo shoot with men’s magazine FHM prompted Binibining Pilipinas candidate Theresa Fenger to withdraw from the competition.

Fenger was not disqualified but backed out on her own accord because of competition rules that her sexy photos supposedly violated.

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc., the organization behind the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, enforces a rule that candidates who have posed for sexy men’s magazines are to be disqualified.

Joyce Burton Titular, an authority on the beauty pageant scene in the Philippines, said in her blog that it broke her heart to see Fenger leave the competition. The Adventures of a Beauty Queen blogger added that Fenger was one of her favorite Bb Pilipinas contestants and would’ve been included among her Top 15 Bb Pilipinas candidates.

Though Binibining Pilipinas has yet to release an official statement, their list of  Binibining Pilipinas 2013 candidates on their website no longer includes Theresa Fenger.

KC Gonzalez Cajandig from General Santos City (the same city of Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup) has been chosen to replace Fenger as candidate number 35.

According to beauty pageant blog NormaNorman.com, Cajandig first commanded attention as a runway model who represented the country in the World Supermodel of 2009 competition held in Taiwan and was a finalist.

She also placed in the top 3 in the Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World Philippines in 2008. –With reports from Ira Agting and Pia Ranada/Rappler.com
