WINNERS: 18th Annual Motorsport Awards

MANILA, Philippines – On April 5 at 7pm, Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) held the 18th Annual Motorsport Awards at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) in Pasay City.

The event comes at the heels of the Car of the Year Awards 2013 on April 4 organized by Car Awards Group Inc (CAGI) headed by Ferman Lao.

WINNERS: Car of the Year 2013

Both events are concurrent with the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) running at the PTTC and World Trade Center (WTC) until April 7, Sunday.

The Motorsport Awards recognize the best drivers in circuit, slalom, karting, hill climbing, and drag racing.

The program was hosted by Lory Uy and Dennis Uy. AAP president Augusto Lagman gave the opening remarks. AAP director and Motorsports Committee chairman Jose Armando Eduque gave the welcoming remarks.

1. Driver of the Year

• CIRCUIT: William Tan
• SLALOM: Peewee Mendiola
• KARTING: Vencer Jon Suba
• DRAG: Jonathan Tiu
• HILLCLIMB: Carlos Anton

2. Class Champions – Philippine Touring Car Championship

Division 1 – 200hp

• CHAMPION: William Tan
• 1ST RUNNER-UP: Joey Perry
• 2ND RUNNER-UP: Enzo Pastor

Division 2 – 150hp

• CHAMPION: Leo San Juan
• 1ST RUNNER-UP: Jeff Borja
• 2ND RUNNER-UP: John Mark Ong

Division 3 – 100hp

• CHAMPION: Alan Arguelles
• 1ST RUNNER-UP: Paul Aris Anguluan
