Here are the winners of the 66th Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature

MANILA, Philippines – The winners for the 66th Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature (Palanca Awards) were released Friday, September 2.

The awarding body received almost a thousand entries this year. There were 20 categories in this year’s Palanca Awards, as the Novel and Nobela categories weren’t open this year.

Antonio “Tony” Mabesa, a professor emeritus at the University of the Philippines (UP), was awarded the Gawad Dangal ng Lahi for his career spanning 6 decades, during which he mentored students and was part of many productions. Mabesa also founded Dulaang UP, the university’s theater group.
