MANILA, Philippines – There’s a new food market open in Marikina, serving up specialty milkshakes, steaks, and more!

Montare Food Hub has 8 stalls each with its own unique theme or cuisine, similar to kitchen stations, said co-owner Kaye Tano.

While Montare has less stalls than most food parks, it makes up for it in quality. According to Kaye, she and the other owners are very hands-on with the chefs at each stall, developing the dishes together.

Montare is also an events place, perfect for parties, debuts, corporate get-togethers, or even intimate weddings. The stalls provide the food at the events too, but offer different menus for those.

For everyday, here’s what you can try at each of the stalls in Montare.

Caprizzo Pasta Hub

Satisfy your Italian craving at Caprizzo, where they serve pasta with a twist. Try their sisig pasta (P180) or aligue pasta (P180) for a Filipino fusion, or their threaded spaghetti (P200), where the noodles poke through bits of sausage!

Heat Stroke Grill

While everything at Heat Stroke Grill is – as its name implies – grilled, the stall still offers up a lot of variety.

Their pork belly comes with spicy rice and chimichurri sauce (P150), while their chicken with yellow annatto rice and teriyaki sauce (P150).

Montare Dim Sum Kitchen

Kaye, who used to work in the hotel industry, said she found some of the chefs now working at Montare from there – including the chef at Dim Sum Kitchen.

If you’re craving for great dimsum in the Marikina area, look no further. Try their beancurd roll (P110) – stuffed with meat, not shrimp – shrimp and pork siomai (P110), Japanese siomai (P100), Shrimp pinsec (P130), and chicken feet (P70).
