What to expect at the new Magnum pop-up café
Magnum opens up its own café where visitors can dine and make their own ice cream creations

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATED) Summer is upon us and a café where you can make your own ice cream is opening just in time to help you beat the summer heat.

A Magnum Pleasure Store is setting up shop in SM Aura at the Fort.

Update: It’s set to close July 26 after a 15-month run.

TONS OF COMBINATIONS. Choose your toppings here

The cafe-slash-ice cream café is slated to open on April 8 and it is set to be a place where people can not only personalize their Magnum ice cream – they can dine here as well.

NOT JUST FOR ICE CREAM. The Magnum Pleasure Store will also be serving a variety of meals

The downside of it all (aside from the calories which you can burn at the gym later), is that the Pleasure Store won’t be staying for too long. As a pop-up store, it will only be open for about 12 months (the pop-up store they had in Singapore was open for about 500 days).

NOT YOUR EVERYDAY SPAGHETTI. Bolognese on sticks with chocolate? Definitely worth a try

Similar pop-up stores have also made appearances in key cities such as Milan, Cannes, New York, and London.

PICK YOUR DRIZZLE. Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by a "Pleasure Maker" who will help them make their own ice cream creation, choosing from the type of ice cream, the toppings, and down to the drizzle

The opening of Magnum’s own pop-up store follows the success of several pop-ups that were in the Philippines the past year, albeit for a shorter time than the Magnum pop-up’s projected lifespan.

America’s popular burger joint In-N-Out Burgers opened for a day on March 21, 2013 while LA-based shoe brand Seychelles also held a pop-up event last October which lasted for a whole weekend.

For the Magnum Pleasure Store, Nomama and Chef Cuisine catering’s Chef Him Uy de Baron and award-winning Pastry Chef Miko Aspiras teamed up to create the dishes that will be served at the pop-up.

WAGYU CHEEK. Another savory entry to the menu
DEATH BY CHOCOLATE. Not a bad way to go
