MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino has offered a job interview to an Instagram user who turned one of her videos into a meme by editing it to depict Kris answering job interview questions inappropriately.
On her Instagram account, Kris reposted the edited video, extending her interview invite in the caption.
“In case you really are looking for a job and you do have editing, layout, and scripting skills – we’d like to interview you for a job with KCAP [Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions],” she said.
The edited video was posted by Al Fonzi (@fonziru) on Instagram and Facebook, with the caption “Me during a job interview.” It features cuts from an episode of online series, The Kris List.
The edited video, posted on July 4, quickly became popular on Facebook, racking up over 22,000 likes and over 2,000 shares so far.
Al, who took up Communication at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, told Rappler that he will be sending a resume to Kris’ team soon.
“I’m currently unemployed which makes this moment even better,” he said, sharing that he just came back from job-hunting in Singapore. He had previously worked as an English tutor, a call center agent, and as a financial advisor.
Al shared that he did not expect the video to go viral, let alone help him secure a job interview from one of the biggest celebrities in the country.
“I’ve always been fond of making short videos, mostly nonsensical, and I’m used to getting no response from people. I thought this was just going to be one of those that would go unnoticed,” he said.
“I thought her way of answering the questions was so ‘extra’ and would have been so funny if it was a job interview,” he added.
The original video‘s theme was “Quick Questions with Kris.”
