When the Kenzo x H&M collaboration was announced in May through an Instagram video, Humberto Leon, who has been the creative director of Kenzo with Carol Lim since 2011, told H&M Magazine on the collaboration: ”We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us. Together with H&M, we will invite all the customers and fans to the real Kenzo world.”

Before Kenzo, Humberto and Carol created Opening Ceremony, a New York-based boutique that has since expanded worldwide and online.

H&M has been collaborating with high-end designers, including Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons in 2008 and Alexander Wang in 2014.

Last year, the Swedish brand collaborated with Balmain on a collection designed by creative director Olivier Rousteing. The campaign photos featured models Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Jourdan Dunn.
