FIRST LOOK: Chance the Rapper, Iman, more in Kenzo x H&M campaign

MANILA, Philippines – The first campaign images and videos for Kenzo x H&M are out, and they feature Chance the Rapper, supermodel Iman, and Vietnamese rapper Suboi. (SNEAK PEEK: First look at the Kenzo x H&M collection)

The first 3 campaign images for the collection were released on Friday, September 23. They were shot by Jean-Paul Goude, who used his signature cut-up style, cutting and piecing his photos back together to form one image.

There will be 7 ambassadors in total, with Rosario Dawson, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chloe Sevigny, and Xiuhtezcatl Martinez joining the previous 3 mentioned.

Accompanying the images are 3 films – interviews with each ambassador – by three films by Swedish director Max Vitali.

The full campaign will drop on October 17, while the collection will launch in select stores and online worldwide on November 3. 

When the Kenzo x H&M collaboration was announced in May through an Instagram video, Humberto Leon, who has been the creative director of Kenzo with Carol Lim since 2011, told H&M Magazine on the collaboration: ”We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us. Together with H&M, we will invite all the customers and fans to the real Kenzo world.”

Before Kenzo, Humberto and Carol created Opening Ceremony, a New York-based boutique that has since expanded worldwide and online.

H&M has been collaborating with high-end designers, including Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons in 2008 and Alexander Wang in 2014.

Last year, the Swedish brand collaborated with Balmain on a collection designed by creative director Olivier Rousteing. The campaign photos featured models Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Jourdan Dunn.
