MANILA, Philippines –TV host Bianca Gonzalez has dared to take on a new look again.

The hairstyle known as #TheNextBianca was unveiled Saturday afternoon, June 14 at the Century Mall.  #TheNextBianca or the Textured Bob was chosen by Bianca’s followers on Social Media as part of Vidal Sassoon’s campaign, where they asked the followers to vote either the Textured Bob or Disconnected Bob as Bianca’s new hairstyle.

This is the second time that Bianca opted for a transformation for Vidal Sassoon. Last year, she was introduced as the brand ambassador, showcasing an edgier cut known as #TheBianca, which was done by stylists from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Shanghai.

“I decided na why not get another edgy look sort of the same length as before but different cut. I like the transformation, I like the change so much… I want to take it to the next level again. Syempre I cut it in October and it was growing a bit already,” Bianca told Rappler, when asked why she decided to go for another look.

“I think the feeling you are a little bit different, a different you. I don’t know if it makes sense, but you have an edgier look from the typical Pinay, the usual of what we have deemed as the typical Pinay hair. It changed in the sense because I am different but more me. More me because I feel with the shorter cut, it suits me better. My being active, my doing different things in one day, it suits my lifestyle,” she said.

Since going short, Bianca said she has learned to embrace the changes around her.

Unlike the first cut which she admitted to feeling scared, the second gave her more confidence.

“The first cut, I was really scared because in the industry it was long hair, big curls. But in the end after the cut hindi pala ganoon ka risky (it’s not that much of a risk). I just needed the push. I shouldn’t have worried so much.”

With the new haircut, Bianca said that she hopes to inspire more women to make the change.

“Sometimes what we keep on saying is that all you needs is a little push. Try mo lang kasi (Just try it). You won’t know unless you really try it.” –Rappler.com
