Meet the candidates of the first ever Gentlemen of the Philippines pageant

MANILA, Philippines – The 30 candidates of Gentlemen of the Philippines 2016 were presented to the press, Saturday, July 23 at the Sulu Riviera Hotel Poolside.

The candidates came from as far as north of the country to international communities from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. The candidates modeled in swim wear and outfits from the country’s top designers?


 


 

 


 

Special awards were given with Andrea Biondo of South Italy winning Darling of the Press and Mr. Placenta for Men; and Jason del Juan Martin, Gold Coast, Australia winning the Mr. Hea Watch award. 

The candidates also got the chance to interact with the press and  were asked a number of questions such as why they joined the contest and those concerning current events such as extrajudicial killings and social media.

According to the press release, 6 titles are at stake. They are: Gentlemen of the Philippines– Mister Model International 2016, Gentlemen of the Philippines– Mister Universal Ambassador 2016, Gentlemen of the Philippines – Mister Tourism International 2016, Gentlemen of the Philippines – Mister Worldwide 2016, Gentlemen of the Philippines – Mister Tourism World 2016, and Gentlemen of the Philippines – Mister Teen International 2017. A runner-up will also be awarded.

Established in early 2016, Gentlemen of the Philippines aims to be a pageant that gives importance to various advocacies including climate change and disaster risk reduction management.

Pageant night is scheduled on July 31.
