MANILA, Philippines – The Miss Universe fever kicked off Wednesday, January 21 (Thursday, January 22, Manila)  when 88 beautiful women participated in the preliminary competition held at Doral, Miami, USA.

Days before the event, the candidates had interviews with the press, where they were able to express their feelings about the upcoming competition.
