MANILA, Philippines –  Reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler of Venezuela and Russian pop star Emin, who serve as special guests in this year’s Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night, are scheduled to arrive in Manila on March 27 and 28, respectively. 

Aside from appearing in the anticipated pageant to be held March 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, also included in their itinerary is a courtesy call to President Aquino. Paula Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization will also be joining Gabriela.

Gabriela is a member of the pageant’s judging panel, while Emin is set to perform, much like how he serenaded the candidates at the 2013 Miss Universe coronation. 

While they play different roles in the pageant, both are geared at helping Super Typhoon Yolanda survivors.

Gabriela will be extending help to the ongoing relief and rebuild operations in the Visayas through the Miss Universe Fund. Meanwhile, Emin is set to donate all profits from his single “Amor.” 

During the Miss Universe 2013 competition, Filipino candidate and 3rd runner up Ariella Arida appeared in Emin’s music video shot for the competition. The pop star, also known in Russia as the son of a billionaire, performed hits “Amor” and “In Another Life” in last year’s pageant.
