MANILA, Philippines – In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant’s water conservation theme, this 19-year-old Psychology graduate says, “One of the most important natural resources of the Earth is water. The supply of water is more than enough to support the lifetime existence of humanity.

“On the other hand, improper use of water causes its insufficiency. My tip for everyone is to conserve water and use it appropriately. Fixing leaking faucets in our home is one thing we can do to conserve water. Avoid wasting water and give importance to it.”

Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):

When I was a child I used to watch beauty pageants in television and during those days, I fantasized about being a model or a beauty queen. I used to try “modelling” in the pilapil of our farm.

Most memorable moment:

When I joined and was crowned Mutya ng Lungsod ng Calapan 2012 as it was my first time in a pageant. I also consider representing my beloved city in Miss Oriental Mindoro memorable.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?

My environmental advocacy is all about the conservation of one of the essential needs of mankind and that is water. We all know that water is one of the driving forces that allows us to live and that by preserving it, we are assured of our long term sustainability.
