MANILA, Philippines – In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant’s water conservation theme, this 21-year-old nursing graduate says, “My tip to share in promoting water cooperation is learn how to value and preserve water even in our simple way; by making guidelines in our household on water use like doing laundry only once every week or recycling rain water for washing the dishes, vehicles and even watering the plants. In those small ways, we already help conserve water.”

Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):

I have memorable growing-up years because most of my cousins were my age and we grew up together. The closeness was there and I think that is what makes those years amazing.

Most memorable moment:

Every weekend we would gather in our lola’s house and eat lunch together.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?

My advocacy is to preserve and save water. I chose this so that  people will be oriented on how important water is in life. Water is life and without it, human life will soon be extinct.
