MANILA, Philippines – In line with the Miss Philippines Earth 2013 pageant’s water conservation theme, this 18-year-old Food Technology student says, “As a citizen of this country, we can promote water cooperation by watering the plants during the coolest part of the day to reduce evaporation.”

Describe your childhood/growing-up years (8-13 years old):

I come from a simple family. My dad is a pedicab driver and my mom is a laundry woman. I was taught from a young age to dedicate everything to God and thank Him constantly for His blessings. I am blessed to have a supportive and loving family.

Most memorable moment:

When our investigatory project won as champion in the Regional Level Science Quest. Because of that, we were given the opportunity to represent Zamboanga City in the National Science Quest.

What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose this?

My advocacy is to help increase public awareness on the preservation and conservation of our environment through education. Let us all have a common goal in preserving and conserving our environment and making the Earth a better place to live in.
