IN PHOTOS: Pia Wurtzbach crowns Miss Peru 2016 Valeria Piazza

MANILA, Philippines – After crowning her successor in Binibining Pilipinas recently, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach flew to Peru to grace the Miss Peru pageant.

On Saturday, April 23 (Sunday, April 24 in Manila), Pia attended the pageant as one of the judges. Valeria Piazza won the title and will represent Peru in Miss Universe 2016.

On Instagram Friday, April 22, Pia wrote: “Just arrived in Peru. Loving it already and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s activities. Oh and by the way, it’s my first time in Latin America.”

Pia also reunited with Laura Spoya, Peru’s representative in Miss Universe 2015, during the visit. Photos of the two together seem to show that everything is okay between them, following reports that Laura was among the Latina candidates who were not happy with Pia’s win last December.

Aside from Peru, Pia said that she is hoping to visit Ecuador which was recently hit by a devastating earthquake.
