MANILA, Philippines – At Sony’s press conference for the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2013) on Tuesday, January 8, Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai and Sony Electronics President Phil Molyneux revealed their new flagship phone: the Xperia Z. 

Sporting a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the Xperia Z has a 5-inch HD 1080p display, a 13.1 Megapixel rear camera and a 2.2 Megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.1 and uses Sony One-touch technology (otherwise known as near-field communication technology) to instantly connect to other Sony devices by being in close proximity to them.
