MANILA, Philippines - Those of you who like to drink alcohol or who are interested in seeing what they look like after 10 glasses of wine will want to check out this amusing app for tackling a serious issue.

The Scottish government has an application that attempts to show the effects of drinking too much alcohol on your looks. Called the Drinking Mirror application, the app appears to be a face-changing program with an interface made specifically to address how much one drinks.

CNN reports that the original intent of the app was to target women's vanity in an attempt to get women to drink less. The overall campaign, however, is targeting all drinkers with information pertaining to the effects of drinking on one's health.

Whether the campaign succeeds may depend on how well the app is received by the public. The Drinking Mirror is currently available for Android, iOS, and the web. - Rappler.com
