MANILA, Philippines - While Jakarta is suffering from heavy monsoon rain, Google's crisis response team is hard at work providing aid the best way it knows how: by providing information to those who need it.

Google has come out with a resource page for people in the area, much like it did during Typhoon Pablo, which killed more than 1000 people in the Philippines in December. The resource page not only shows basic resources like links to emergency information and news updates, but also a map of the area with locations that are flooded or in danger of flooding.

Google also has a mobile-optimized emergency page with location and contact information for shelters. The Next Web also notes that the essential information is available through the Google FreeZone service, which allows free Internet access to Google services on supported feature phones and carriers.
