MANILA, Philippines - Gamers around the world may have something new to look forward to in the coming months, as Sony has put up a teaser trailer pointing to a gaming-related announcement on February 20.

The video, titled "See the Future," lasts 45 seconds and has very little details, being a stylized reveal of the traditional PlayStation control icons: the triangle, circle, cross, and square.

At the end of the video, viewers see the PlayStation logo as well as the February 20 announcement date. Going to the PlayStation webpage noted in the YouTube link for the video leads viewers to the time of the reveal at 6pm Eastern. You also get a chance to sign up for updates.

Gamers and gaming websites are considering the possibility of a reveal of Sony's next home gaming console after the PlayStation 3.

A PlayStation 4 reveal is generally seen as the most likely scenario following the cessation of worldwide PlayStation 2 production earlier in the year and the release of the PlayStation Vita.
