MANILA, Philippines - University of the Philippines (UP) students and alumni have a new tool to keep them informed of goings-on in the UP community: their very own alumni app.
Announced on the UP Information Technology Development Center (UP-ITDC) website, the UP Alumni Mobile app basically ports the UP Alumni website. It provides information on UP Alumni events, as well as school-related news.
The app also carries features from the website, such as Alumni Stories, UP Traditions, The Carillon, information from the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR), and updates on important services across the universities and campuses that comprise UP.
The UP Alumni Mobile app was developed by Bryan Matthew Batanes, Jewel Lex Javier, and Jayvee Eljohn Pascual of the Department of Computer Science.
The app requires Android 2.3.3 as the minimum operating system, and can be accessed through the Google Play store. - Rappler.com
