MANILA, Philippines – Brace yourself folks, more changes are coming to Facebook.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 (March 14, 2013 in the Philippines), popular social networking site Facebook announces it will be “improving” the Timeline.

The announcement comes less than a week after Facebook revealed a redesigned version of its News Feed.

Facebook responds to its users’ claims that the “current timeline layout is sometimes hard to read” by putting all of the posts on the right side while the other photos, music and other recent activity will be on the left side.

The new Timeline will also let users organize the About page. Apps like Flixster and Netflix will let you add movies you like or are currently watching. You can the do same with the Goodreads app.

Frequent Instagram users can also make their photo stream a section on their Timeline.

Facebook first introduced Timeline in September 22, 2011 at the f8 developer conference. CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it a new way to “share the story of your life on a single page.”

The Timeline, which is also the user’s profile page, was met with a lot of criticism with some opting to stick with the old profile page until Facebook forced the new format on all its users.

Facebook says the improved Timeline will be rolled out in the coming weeks. – Rappler.com
