MANILA, Philippines – It looks like the Nexus 7 and iPad Mini has some new competition. On Monday, April 29, Samsung revealed the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 as a rival to other 7-inch slates.

Running on the Android 4.1 operating system, the Galaxy Tab 3 will take advantage of a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor and either 8 or 16 GB of internal storage, with up to 64GB of expandable memory. It also comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, and a Li-ion 4,000 mAh battery.
