MANILA, Philippines – Microsoft has announced the release window and launch countries for the Xbox One console, and it’s set to compete with the PlayStation 4’s timeline, which is slated for a November 15 US release.

According to a post by Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business for Xbox, the Xbox One will launch on November 22 in 13 launch markets around the world.

The post notes that the countries that will officially get to purchase the console first will be Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. Additional markets will follow gradually by 2014.
