Too busy for a full gym membership? Take a class from a fitness expert, all online

NO TIME? No excuses. Some fitness videos last only 3 to 5 minutes, allowing you to build your workout around your busy schedule

MANILA, Philippines – Let’s face it. A gym or exercise studio membership can actually do some serious damage to your wallet.

But the age of YouTube and social media has ushered in new ways to access content, and that includes fitness trends to help you get back into shape,

Video sharing sites on the internet, YouTube in particular, host thousands of fitness videos with work outs that target specific areas of the body, depending on what you want to achieve, whether it’s weight loss, toning, or even exercises for stress relief.

Here are 3 fitness channels on YouTube to help you get started. The channels offer great work outs condensed in a few minutes per video. Play repeatedly, or explore their library of videos for a routine that isn’t likely to get stale. If you’re not bored, you’re not as likely to give up. Have fun!

1. Blogilates

Pilates and fitness instructor Cassey Ho‘s channel is for fun-loving and active people who are looking for high-intensity work outs.

Her videos target specific problem areas with several videos dedicated to getting rid of belly fat and love handles, making your inner things slimmer with her Ultimate Thigh Sculptor workout, and making sure you look better in your bikini this summer through the Bikini Kick Off Workout.

Cassey puts together workout videos that come with a catchy name, upbeat pop music, and lots of motivation. Feel like giving up in the middle of the work out? She will cheer you on, telling you things like “Do you feel your muscles burning? Don’t give up yet! That’s when you know it’s working!”

She also posts cheap, low-calorie recipes like butter-less crust pumpkin pie, and chunky apple cinnamon muffins via her channel.

Here’s our recommended video from Cassey that combines moves from several other work out videos that aim to flatten your stomach, make your inner thighs slimmer, and help you achieve that fit butt and toned arms:

2. Sadienardini

If you’re looking for a more mellow (but just as fierce) work out that shows a different side to yoga, Sadie Nardini’s channel is a great option. She believes in transformative exercise and puts her unique philosophy into her vidoes that sometimes feature Sadie doing outdoor yoga during her travels in Italy, Australia, and Mexico.

Her channel is not just for the experienced yogis but for beginners as well. She will guide you to open up your shoulders and other body parts which will help you become more flexible after constant practice.

She is also quite an inspiration. When Sadie was a teenager, she acquired a disease that targeted her nervous system. It left her nearly paralyzed for about 2 years, but she fought through that and today, she is helping others discover yoga’s many physical benefits.

Our recommended video is one which Sadie filmed in Tuscany. It’s a workout that will help you detox and get rid of a nasty hangover:

3. ScottHermanFitness

Exercising is not just for people who are overweight. Some who want to gain a bit of mass and look less frail can opt for Scott Herman’s channel.

Scott has several how-to videos that will teach you moves, exercise routines, and even what to eat to grow your muscles and keep them strong.

You might remember Scott from MTV’s The Real World: Brooklyn in 2009. After the reality show, the model and fitness enthusiast turned to the Internet to keep his passion and help other people get the body they always wanted.

If you’re thinking of getting into lifting and working on bigger biceps and strong abs, Scott’s heavy workouts will help you get there. Don’t forget to do some stretching and prepare before doing his work outs as they can be very strenuous. Without proper stretching, you may hurt yourself.

Our recommended video from Scott targets one of the male population’s archenemies: “man boobs.” It’s an intense workout that will leave your chest sore, but you’ll feel the effects after constant repetitions.
