What is your stand on saving sex for marriage? Is it worth the wait?

MANILA, Philippines — For many unmarried couples, one of the most challenging aspects of being in a relationship is choosing to protect one’s virginity.

Protecting one’s sexual purity in a relationship is a decision that one consciously makes every day. Modern society today is making this choice even more difficult as today’s youth are exposed to various portrayals of premarital sex in film, music, books, and advertising.

In a study conducted by the World Health Organization, about 12% of Filipino adolescents aged 15–19 and 40% of those aged 20–24 admitted to having had premarital sex.

The question now lies: Is it still worth the wait? How do today’s young unmarried couples think about sexual purity?
