The parade reflects the importance of the community’s stronger political and economic power. Although many conservative anti-LGBT groups seem to never run out of airtime, it also seemed like every politician was eager to join the parade. Major companies were represented, including Kaiser Permanente, Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Safeway, Wells Fargo Bank, and many more.
Participants came in outlandish costumes, partially dressed or totally naked, in all sizes of butts and boobs, as well as children of gay couples, parents of LGBTs, senior citizens, and those who are coming out for the first time.
