Remembering one’s roots

LAGUNA, Philippines – At a time when nationalistic lines blur and cultures converge due to increased migration and international travel, remembering one’s roots is a challenge.

On Tuesday, September 3, a night of cultural performances organized by the International Students’ Association (ISA) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) helped foreign students to remember.

197 performers from 27 countries showcased their respective national dances and songs to an estimated audience of 500 at the university’s DL Umali Hall.
