#Hagupit: Volunteer for Project Agos
MovePH is looking for Project Agos volunteers who will help gather critical information in preparation for Typhoon Hagupit

MANILA, Philippines – MovePH, the civic engagement arm of Rappler, is looking for volunteers who will help gather critical information online that can help save lives and property in times of disaster.

As Typhoon Hagupit makes its way towards the Philippines, we need Project Agos volunteers to gather the following information:

  • Reports of floods

  • Reports of landslides and other hazards

  • People in need of rescue

  • Infrastructure damage (e.g., roads, bridges, cell sites)

The information volunteers gather will be relayed to national government agencies and local responders who can use the information to prepare for and respond to Typhoon Hagupit.

Citizen journalists can also send reports, photos, and videos on how their families and communities are preparing for Typhoon Hagupit.

This initiative is part of Rappler’s Project Agos, a one-stop online platform to help educate the public about disasters, climate change, and building a #ZeroCasualty country. Project Agos is supported by the Australian Government in partnership with both government and non-goverment institutions. (WATCH: Project Agos)
